Description: 4 hikes
(1) Metate/Petroglyph, Easy Hike, starts at 9AM, 1.7 miles, approx. 2 hours, hike includes Petroglyphs & bedrock metate.
(2)1st Mesa - Short, Moderate Short Hike, starts at 9 AM, approx. 2 miles, 3 hours hike includes large and medium prehistoric pueblos, petroglyphs.
(3)1st Mesa-Long, Moderate Long Hike, starts at 9 AM, approx. 3.7 miles, 4 hours Same as number 2 with additional petroglyphs and more miles
(4)Elephant Mountain Fortress, Difficult Hike, starts at 8 AM, approx.7 miles, 5 hours. Hike to Elephant Butte Fortress

Art lovers rejoice! Art Night in Cave Creek is a breath of fresh, cooler air for art lovers around the Valley.

Taking place on the second Friday evening of each month, the Cave Creek gallery tour features a variety of original works from artists representing contemporary, eclectic, Western, French and Italian styles. All galleries stay open until 9pm for the tour.

You’ll find the temperature cooler in the quaint foothills town just a few minutes north of the metro area. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. “The tour reflects the gracious yet independent spirit of our community,” said Mickey Meulenbeek, owner of Level 9 Gallery. Visiting artists mingle and refreshments are served throughout the evening.

Those who stop at all galleries along the tour can participate in a drawing for a $50 gift certificate redeemable at any of the participating galleries including Level 9 Gallery, Galeria Bellas Artes, Steven DeWitt Perrin Gallery, D. Lyon Gallery and Studio C4 at the Cave Creek Coffee Company. Each stop is easily identifiable by luminarias along the route.

This season’s Art Night features a special Silent Auction Summer event. Original works at each gallery will be auctioned to the highest bidder. Bids are accepted throughout the month.
