The Town’s Neary Reservoir/Booster station is the main booster station for the Town's water system. The Utilities Department needs to complete maintenance on the main control valve at the site, which will require an overnight shutdown of a large portion of the water system. In general, the overnight shutdown will impact the area of Ocotillo Road south to Carefree Highway and Basin Road west to 24th Street. Click here to view the area affected.
The overnight water outage will occur between:
• 10 P.M. on Tuesday, May 4th, until 5 A.M. on Wednesday, May 5th.
• The area highlighted in green on the map is the area that will be affected by the outage.
• To minimize the impact of this outage on your home customers should plan accordingly: turn off water, irrigation systems, auto-pool fillers, etc.
Please click here to see the map of the area affected by the planned temporary water service outage. Staff will start shutting the system down at 10 PM.
When the water system is restored you may experience some discolored water or air in your inside plumbing. This is due to hard water deposits being dislodged in the lines or air being trapped – both of which are normal. We recommend flushing the outside hose faucet closest to your water meter for a few minutes to clear up any issues.
The maintenance is required to ensure the continued reliability of the Cave Creek Water System. We apologize for any inconvenience.
If you need additional details prior to the event, please contact the Cave Creek Utilities Department phone line at 480-488-6620 during our normal business hours of 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Thursday.
If you have any questions during the shutdown event, please contact the Utilities after-hours phone line at 602-667-4574.
